‘Let Me Google That For You’ – Create animated Google search links Posted: 08 Dec 2008 06:44 AM CST If you frequently visit online forums, you are bound to have witnessed fellow members (usually new and inexperienced members) posting threads and replies asking about stuff that's easily discoverable by a simple Google search (i.e- Dude wtf is a torrent?). Usually, responses to these types of threads go in the lines of "Google it you fuc*ing noob ^@#&*". 'Let me Google That For You' (LMGTFY) is a site that will help you give a more pleasant, sarcastic but a pretty useful response to useless and obvious questions. The concept behind LMGTFY is somewhat similar to http://justfuckinggoogleit.com/. It however is a far more useful method and is not a rude one at that. Here is how it works: 1. You visit http://letmegooglethatforyou.com/ 2. Input the search query you want the Google search to be created for. In this instance let's assume it's 'FILEnetworks Blog' 3. Then press the 'Google Search' button. A link will be generated which will have a similar format as the ones below:
4. You post the generated link as the response to the noob question. When someone clicks on the link, he will first be shown a step by step animation on how to perform a Google search for the specified query. Finally he or she will be taken to the actual Google search results page for the entered query. Simple and sarcastic yet very useful! [Click Here] to visit Let me Google That For You |

Razor1911 (RZR) cracks GTA 4 DRM Posted: 07 Dec 2008 09:55 PM CST Pirates and DRM haters have been fiddling around with cracks and workarounds to get past SecuROM protection in Grand Theft Auto 4 ever since the game got released. These cracks were only partially working and SecuROM triggers built into the game managed to annoy pirates a great deal with wobbling camera, self driving vehicles and other showstopper bugs (There was however a loader that bypassed SecuROM entirely and allowed illegitimate versions to be played perfectly fine). EDIT: It looks like the Razor1911 release too is a loader - not a modified executable with SecuROM completely removed. It is however the first working scene release of the game. Interestingly, Razor1911's NFO states the game's protection as "SR+Serial+Custom+PA+xlive". Following lines are also quoted from the release NFO:
As usual, the release has already spread from scene topsites to private torrent trackers (it only took around 10 mins since pre for some elite trackers to upload this one). Razor 1911's release will soon spread to public trackers, one click hosting sites, newsgroups and so on. Expect this one to be downloaded a lot of times – hell, it may even break Spore's most pirated game of 2008 record :P Note that these releases are not downloaded only by pirates. Legitimate users who bought the game but are not fond of SecuROM are also more than likely to check this one out. Razor1911 seems to have developed a habit of cracking epic releases. Their leader got busted in Operation Buccaneer back in 2001 but the group's release division returned in 2006. Since their return, Razor1911 have been responsible for cracking some of the most popular PC game titles released in the recent times including (but not limited to) Crysis, Call of Duty 4, Far Cry 2 and now Grand Theft Auto 4. Developer Description For Niko Bellic, fresh off the boat from Europe, it is the hope he can escape his past. For his cousin, Roman, it is the vision that together they can find fortune in Liberty City, gateway to the land of opportunity. As they slip into debt and are dragged into a criminal underworld by a series of shysters, thieves and sociopaths, they discover that the reality is very different from the dream in a city that worships money and status, and is heaven for those who have them and a living nightmare for those who don't. Note: Please do not post links to cracks, key generators or full games here. If you read this blog you probably know a lot of places to get 'the stuff'. Related Articles |
