uTorrent for Mac Coming soon, Vuze 4.0.0.4 released Posted: 22 Nov 2008 06:10 AM CST Here is an update on two of the most popular BitTorrent clients currently around. First up, a new build of Vuze (formerly Azureus) has been released. Build 4.0.0.4 has quite a lengthy changelog This includes a number of bugfixes, several changes and notable new features such as the support for magnet links in search results, subscription support to customizations and ability to change List modes in View menu (full changelog here). As always, upgrading to the latest version is recommended but if you use a lot of private torrent trackers we recommend you first check if version 4.0.0.4 is an allowed client version in your favorite tracker. Some private trackers do not immediately add the latest version to their' allowed clients list' as they tend to test out the new version beforehand (For example 4.0.0.4 is not currently allowed in Blackcats-Games or BitmeTV) . [Click here] to download Vuze 4.0.0.4 from SourceForge (Direct Download) There is some more good news on the BitTorrent clients front, this time for Mac users. The Mac version of uTorrent is due to be released very soon. The official page for the utorrent Mac client (http://mac.utorrent.com) is now live. If you leave your E-mail address along with your OS X version, you will be notified the moment Mac client is released to the public. [Click Here] to visit the uTorrent Mac client official page |
AOM Killer (AOMK) magic torrent tracker back online with open signups Posted: 22 Nov 2008 01:25 AM CST AOM Killer (AOMK), a private torrent tracker dedicated to magic related content, has returned after several days of downtime. As reported in our previous post, the site is now hosted on a new domain (www.aomk1.com). AOMK has occasionally been up and down in the past two months and according to a forum post by administrator the reason for last downtime was the site getting hacked (there have been plenty of controversies surrounding this tracker since their birth). AOMK seems to have lost the entire user base and torrents during the downtime. The good news is that the site is currently open for signup and every old member (and new members of course) can re-register:
A news post by the admin also says:
They are also in the process of adding new torrents. If you were not aware of the content in this tracker, AOMK has magic related videos, TV shows, Ebooks and movies (see screenshot below): Currently there are only about ~150 users and 120+ torrents on the tracker but expect these stats to increase rapidly as news about the site's return spreads. As said before the signups are open and if you like magic, you'll definitely want to check this tracker out. Site Name: AOM Killer Signup URL: http://www.aomk1.com/home/account.php |
The IT Crowd Season 3 – Episode 1 Posted: 21 Nov 2008 10:39 PM CST If you didn't know already, popular UK sitcom 'The IT Crowd' is back for a 3rd season. This show is definitely one of the funniest shows I have ever watched. If you haven't watched seasons 1 and 2 yet, I suggest you download and watch them now (It's too bad that each season carries only around 6 episodes). If you were waiting to download season 3, the first episode is now all over public and private BitTorrent trackers and one click hosting sites. Good places to start your torrent search will be TheBox.BZ (Private UK TV tracker – signups open) and EZTV.it (public TV torrents index/tracker). Description (From Wikipedia) The IT Crowd is set in the offices of Reynholm Industries, a fictitious British corporation in central London. It focuses on the shenanigans of the three-strong IT support team located in a dingy, untidy and unkept basement—a stark contrast to the shining modern architecture and stunning London views enjoyed by the rest of the organisation. The obscurity surrounding what the company does serves as a running gag throughout the series—all that is known is that the company bought and sold ITV and once made part-year profits of "eighteen hundred billion billion". The team consists of what Douglas Reynholm describes as "a dynamic go-getter (Jen), a genius (Moss) and a man from Ireland (Roy)". |

Some of the torrents (including packs) on WB are on free leech (download not counted and only the upload is added to the user's stats). Freeleech torrents have an animated gold coin next to their title. Wild Bytes also has a requests feature where existing members can request releases that have not been uploaded to the site. As mentioned in the title of this post this tracker is currently open for signup. Wild-Bytes frequently deletes inactive members so don't bother joining this tracker if you do not plan to be an active member there. The site has a user limit of 9000 which means there are around 300 spots available for the taking. Check it out WB is a decent general tracker.
