| Posted: 02 Jan 2009 12:43 AM CST First of all let me tell you that all of these applications were released to the public (web setup) back on the 18th of December 2008. We have already posted the offline installer for Windows Live Messenger 9 Final on the same day it was released. Since many people were asking for offline/standalone installers for other Windows Live applications such as Windows Live Writer, Windows Live Mail, etc we thought of posting a separate article in this regard.
As you may already be aware, latest versions of Windows Live applications can be downloaded for free from http://get.live.com/. However, these applications need to be downloaded through a web installer. If you have a high speed, high bandwidth connection this would be great. But what if you have multiple computers, a computer with no internet access or a computer with limited internet access (time limited, data cap, low bandwidth, etc)? Since the web installer does not create a redistributable setup file on the system, you cannot download the Live apps once and install it on many computers. If you suffer from a system failure you'll have to re download. If you have multiple computers you'll have to run the web installer on each of them separately. If you have no internet access you cannot run the web installer at all. If you are in any one of these situations, there is no need to worry - given below is the link to offline installer for all Windows Live applications. | Reported Attack Site Error - Fixed Posted: 02 Jan 2009 01:00 AM CST Yesterday, some of our readers experienced a "Reported Attack Site" error when trying to visit FILEnetworks Blog. We are happy to inform that this error is now fixed. So was there any malware hosted on FILEnetworks Blog at any point? Hell no. The warning signal was triggered by some interstitial ads (full page ads) that were placed by one of our advertisers. This ad service has now been completely removed from the blog. Immediately after the warning was issued several hours ago, our search engine traffic collapsed to nothingness. However most of our regular visitors kept visiting the site despite the warnings – there was no reduction in returning visitor count. We are honored by the trust you placed in us and are extremely sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused.
