4 Games torrent trackers currently open for signup – 12/12/2008

Out of 1000+ private torrent trackers that are around today, only a handful are dedicated games trackers. Of course, most general/0-day trackers do index almost all new game releases but we are talking about entire torrent sites dedicated to PC and Console games. Given below are 4 private games trackers that are currently open for signup; XBOX-SKY, My-GameBox, PS2-P and Underground Gamer (UG).

Note: Almost all of these trackers are known to close signups within a short time interval. We do not know for sure how long they will remain open so it's best to sign up ASAP.

1. PS2P

Google Chrome 1.0.154.36 Final – Direct Download

Google recently released the final version of their Chrome web browser. To be honest I didn't expect them to release a final version anytime soon, specially considering extended beta testing periods in some of their flagship products such as Gmail, Google Talk, etc. Anyway the final build of Chrome (build 1.0.154.36) is here and interested readers may download it for free.

Private Tracker Watch (12/12/2008) : Zamunda signups open

Zamunda.net, an excellent private torrent tracker, is now open for signup. Zamunda is a general tracker which has pretty much everything you need. With over 500000 members and 52000+ active torrents, it is one of the largest private torrent trackers currently online. Zamunda indexes all major scene releases - it also tracks a good number of p2p releases and user uploads (i.e.- excellent non scene DVDRips and PC game rips).

TorrentVault – How to get invited for free

A few months ago, we reported about TorrentVault – a decent General/0Day torrent tracker which was open for signup at that time. TorrentVault tracks general content such as movies, music, games and TV Shows. This tracker has a decent user base of ~6000 members and tracks over 4500 active torrents. Torrent Vault signups has been closed for quite a while now and if you were looking forward to get into this tracker, here is your chance.

Unlike most trackers we post in our private trackers section, TorrentVault is not currently open for signup – the site requires an invite to join. Getting invited however is surprisingly easy – all you have to do is to log onto their IRC channel and type a simple command. Follow the instructions below to get invited to Torrent Vault for free.

UPDATE: It appears the channel has now become invite only. It was good while it lasted.

Method 1 - If you have mIRC installed:

The following will work only if you have an application such as mIRC installed on your system. If you do not have such an app installed, try Method 2.

Type the command !invite your@email.here
For example, if you want the invite to be sent to yourname@mailprovider.com type
!invite yourname@mailprovider.com
Check E-Mail to complete the signup process.

Method 2 – If you do not have mIRC installed

If you do not have an IRC client such as mIRC installed on your system (or if you are unable to install one at your work or university computer), these is no reason to worry. You can use the Mibbit web based IRC chat service to obtain a TorrentVault invite.

Visit Mibbit chat page from this link.
Locate the 'IRC' panel at the top, click on the 'Server' link – a new textbox where you can input the server address will appear.
Input irc.torrentvault.org:9011 as the server address.
Input a nickname and enter #invites as channel name. You will be taken to the invites channel.
Follow steps 2 and 3 from Method 1 (above)

Pirates crack ‘Rise Of The Argonauts’ DRM ahead of release date

Rise of the Argonauts, the upcoming RPG (Role Playing Game) from Codemasters, has been cracked and leaked to internet 5 days before the game's official North American release date. Earlier today, scene group PROCYON released an untouched DVD image (CloneDVD) of Rise of the Argonauts and it took only a few more hours for RELOADED to crack the game's DRM protection. This game, like many other PC titles of 2008, was protected by Sony's SecuROM v7 DRM system. It however did not include the SecurROM PA component (no online activation).

The release has already been leaked to BitTorrent trackers and one click hosting sites across the world. Rise of the Argonauts is scheduled it be released on the 16th of December in North America and on 6th of February 2009 in Europe. Currently, there are no reviews of this game available in popular gaming sites including Gamerankings.com. However one thing I noticed is that Rise of the Argonauts has got a 18+ rating.
