Search for release .NFO files using NFOogle

If you've been downloading scene released movies, games, software, etc from the internet you may have noticed that each release is accompanied by a .NFO file. This NFO file holds release information, serial numbers, install notes and group news and is most of the time essential to make the release work. But what if you download something only to find out the .NFO file is missing? What if you accidentally delete the .NFO file? Just use NFOogle to search for it.

NFOogle is a search engine which searches for release .NFO files. From what I have seen, it crawls several different scene releases indexing sites such as The ISO News and NFOHump to search for NFO files. Search results are pretty informative – each result is associated with date, type of release, release title, group name, size, DVD covers search links (for some releases only) and any nuke information.

Yesterday we presented you with a list of games trackers that were open for signup. Today, we will be posting a list of English movie trackers that are currently open; Tehconnection, PassThePopCorn, Wunza, Asian DVD Club and Classic Cinema Zone. Note that these are entire sites dedicated to movies – you will find movies and nothing else. For signup URLS and other information on these trackers, read on.

Note: Almost all of these trackers are known to close signups within a short time interval. We do not know for sure how long they will remain open so it's best to sign up ASAP.

Windows security updates December 2008 DVD ISO – Direct download

Microsoft usually releases security updates for it's Windows operating systems every month.If you are a Windows user, it's highly recommended that you download and install these updates as soon as possible to stay safe from latest vulnerabilities. The simplest way to download security updates is via Windows Update. But what if you cannot run Windows Update for some reason?

What if you have a PC that has limited connectivity to internet (low bandwidth, data cap, etc) or a computer which has no internet connectivity at all? What if you have several PCs or manage a large network of computers? Running Windows Update in such scenarios will be pointless. This is where the December 2008 security updates DVD ISO come in. The DVD ISO contains all security updates released by MS on December 2008 for multiple versions of Windows operating systems (XP, Vista, Windows Sever, etc). Download it, burn and use it to install security updates on as many machines as you like – even on computers without internet access.
